Laurel has studied drawing with Wanda Dombeck and Heather Hinam, nature art illustrator. She participated in the Artists' Retreat, sponsored by Arts West with Lisa Wood as instructor.
Laurel works in water soluble oils, traditional oils, water colour, acrylic, drawing media and photographic oils.
 She has participated regularly in community exhibitions in Winnipeg, and in various venues in the city. High quality canvas prints and originals are currently for sale.

Laurel Anderson-McCallum believes that your taste in art is personal. 
Her art has been displayed at the Frenchway Café in Winnipeg and was well received. Her hand-painted framed art and cards have been displayed at the Stone Fort Trading Co. (Lower Fort Garry ). Additionally several paintings have been donated to the Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre through art auctions, in recent years.
